Our mission.

La Trenza Gallery, run by artists Marta Troya and Judith Naess, is a space in the heart of Málaga's city centre dedicated to showcasing contemporary art. We focus on amplifying the voices of women and LGBTQ+ artists, offering a platform where their work can be seen, appreciated, and engaged with. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment where art can spark conversation and inspire change, while remaining grounded in authenticity. In a city affected by gentrification and globalisation, La Trenza Gallery aims to offer a space of resistance—one that stays true to its roots and connects with both locals and visitors.

Our goals.

01.

Build Lasting Connections: Strengthen relationships between artists and the community, fostering a sense of belonging.

02.

Create Accessible Art Experiences: Make art welcoming and engaging for both locals and visitors.

03.

Foster Community Engagement: Host exhibitions, workshops, and events that encourage meaningful dialogue and creativity.

04.

Support Underrepresented Artists: Provide a platform for women and LGBTQ+ artists to showcase their work.
